Actually, one thing that Setampunk wish would have happened with the anthology is if we’d encountered the subculture before we’d done the anthology — we could also have had an essay in there about that. We did try to seek that out as much as we stwampunk, but there’s only so much research, and going through dusty used bookstores you can do to find everything you possibly can. I don’t think that’s really a weakness in this anthology.
Stdampunk one set in Russia had some interesting ideas, but was a dreary read and jumped around too much. Let me note a few standouts. It was extremely violent, and at many points I had to quite literally stop reading and almost look away, but, it was enthralling. Here are the stories I feel aann making a comment on so not all of them Good and bad, or stood out in some way: Steampunk Reloaded was most assuredly a mix but I enjoyed it.
I keep watching the time travel anthology post for news re. Still, all three of these stories are excellent, whatever subgenre you stick them in. The characters are well done and I had no idea where it was all going.
