Recently, upon realizing that the third book in this incredible series was te to be released, I decided that this book and the second one deserved a reread and the very best reviews I could write. The Teddy Bear Club. His thought process is so on target for coming out and coming to grips with who he is.

Dec 17, Heather K dentist in my spare time rated it it was amazing Shelves: IMHO, Anna, Creed and Otter were simply uninteresting, while Bear was annoying and a bit repulsive with his self-pitying, self-centred attitude. I miss the Kid being the Kid and not Tyson. I thought the chemistry between Bear and Otter was perfect.
Bear had this sarcastic wit about him that brought humor into the story. I don’t necessarily have a problem with lovers or others doing it but for some reason it pisses me off so much when parents use it. He’s just so gentle and knows what he wants but tries to do what he thinks is best for Bear at the cost of his own happiness. However, Bear, Otter and the Kid is a very nice and lovely novel. I nearly cried laughing! And after they shared that one kiss, he felt like he was influencing him in some way that caused him to kiss him. And once they got together, I found the coming out issue why was it an issue? This is so incredibly inappropriate I wanted to scream.

I would think being left with a five-year-old when you’re 17 would be a tad more frightening. This is only the second time recently that I’ve finished a book and been completely speechless. The fact that he was a poor little seventeen year old who had to let go of his dreams of college to look after his little brother after their irresponsible drunkard mum abandoned them was not enough to make me like him. But wait until you read WWA! These are the people who are there when Bear and the Kid’s mom leaves them, and they are there when she comes back. Mom leaves, not just Bear, but her other son, Tyson, aka the Kid.
The “kid” was a tresure. I loved every one of the words. A re-read for me and I loved it just as much the second time around its a pretty special story and will continue to be one for a long time to come. Cutest of it all; they all, at all times, wants the very best for this, without doubt freaking adorable and so very clever, Kid boy.

Bear, Otter, and the Kid by T.J. Klune
While I loved the story, I had a few problems with it. I think he would be far more messed up than he is, but the way the author handles the kid’s issues, like the bathtub thing, too, is excellent. Both men are straight, both men are depressed and just down on life, and they form a friendship in their sadness.
But Bear still resisted. Also from Dreamspinner Press. So Bear with his highs and lows that didn’t mirror Otter’s feelings, I was worried would be too much for me.
It makes me dizzy just thinking about it.
