Spellbound (Spell, book 2) by Blake Charlton
There were several fascinating things in Spellbound: Your cheese slid off the cracker? So then basically into this world is introduced the cacographers.
I really adored her fierceness and her independent nature. What I did not like though, and I’m perfectly aware that while writing this I am doing the same thing that I’m going to critisize, is that some words repeated themselves in short succession. The exciting sequel to the acclaimed epic fantasy debut Spellwright by Blake Charlton Francesca DeVega is a healer in the city of Avel, composing magical sentences that close wounds and disspell curses.
I’m still excited about the third book because maybe I will have grown enlightenment by then and the sense of it all will come crashing into my mind.
These characters include I’ll only mention four characters: Whilst the first one did not need all that much improvement, this book went beyond what I had expected and created a beautiful second book. It was also great to read about spellwriting again, because Blake Charlton’s magic system is one spellbouhd the most unique and thoroughly convincing magic systems I’ve ever read about during the last couple of years. Other wizards construct their sentences in every muscle of their bodies.

SPELLBOUND by Blake Charlton | Kirkus Reviews
Spellbound is another winner by Blake Charlton, and I’m highly recommending it spellbounnd just about anyone. Spellwright and Spellbound belong to everybody fantasy reader’s reading list and bookshelf. I did however really like his encounter with the Savanna Walker.
It’s a tight story, with great characterisation and the ending felt less rushed than Spellwright ‘s. I felt it gave me a more in-depth look into the world that was created and spe, lbound the slow feeling in the beginning, eventually turned into a book that I couldn’t put down until I finished. That SO would not happen!
Hierophants are spellwrights who use their heart muscle to produce language that moves within cloth and becomes wind when cast, introducing a whole new dimension to air travel, aerial combat and the application of cloth.
This is because Spellbound is set almost entirely in the city of Avel in the kingdom of Spires. Spellbound really has a bit of everything, interesting magic system, interesting and intriguing characters, good dialogue and banter, layers of politics and personal desires driving action, drama, romance, tragedy, horror and surprising plot twists, etc.
Defying the standard trilogy setup We all know the format for trilogies. Wonderful book to read, I really loved this one. The first third started out like this: Zelfs het vriendschappelijk vastpakken van een hand leidt voor de ander tot de dood.
Something I distinctly did not enjoy was merely hearing about Nicodemus’ adventures in the 10 years between Spellwright and Spellboundnever learning about them in sufficient detail.
I cannot wait to see what the final book in the trilogy has in store for us. Some work only in fire, metal, cloth or in darkness but all perform the tasks magicians spell out.
Also, with having a doctor protagonist, we’re subjected to quite a few scenes of medical discussion and procedures. Francesca, a character with a hot wit and the mouth to fire it off with. This had an interesting premise Story-building is that easy.
